17. I like to challenge myself on and off. not every pic can be a challenge or I'd burn out. but I do love a good challenge 'cause it helps me continue to improve.
14. Currently trying to develop some fluency with my linework. I like the general idea I've had lately, but it is coming out a bit stilted and rough still.
12. on average, the total time elapsed from start to finish is around a week and a half. time spent with my pen on the tablet? probably more like 8 hours.
9. I love drawing my own characters, of course, but I also love working with a commissioner, or another artist, it's fun to get outside my head and just vibe sometimes.~
8. More than I have ever been in the past, and yet somehow, still no. I think confidence is something most artists never *really* get? I see the bones of my work in a way that most people never will, and I think when you're too close to something you'll always see it's flaws.
3. I took two years worth of art classes in my local community college. Had one truly great teacher, and learned a ton from him. Treasure good teachers, they're worth their weight in gold.
I have drawn since before time began. When the mountains grew I learned to grind their bones for ink. The ancient cedars remember my works. (Idk, like... 30 years now probably?)
For a loooooooong time I preferred traditional, but i am a convert to digital at this point. I still miss the feeling of a real pencil sometimes though.
