CV, chronically ill & disabled people were not protected then, and are not protected now. Identical to self advocacy for disability (to get diagnosis, equipment, social care, adjustments, blue badge, PIP, Access to Work) you are alone unsupported and must arrange / pay for mitigations yourself!
