I can honestly say I’ve never been proud of Indiana or the US. My obligatory 8th grade class trip to DC solidified my angst when I saw people sleeping on grates for the warmth on the sidewalk across from the White House. How could the ‘best country’ allow its people to freeze and starve?

That's kind of how I feel about being a Veteran. I used to be proud I served now if kind of embarrassing. Wouldn't do it in today's administration. Glad I got out before the first cheeto administration
