I would not link belief to action. Many believe they are Superman but would never open a door for a person in a wheelchair. Many are shy, timid and weak - but would be the first to run into the surf to rescue someone in trouble.

I can actually answer this one, as it's something I learned over the last decade that I honestly did not know when I was a younger man.
The overwhelming majority of all humans alive today are abject cowards.
They may walk among us looking like normal men and women, but they believe in _nothing_.
