Ringed Galaxies are rare (~1 in 10,000). Before this image was captured, we never had seen a galaxy with more than 3 rings. This recent image of Galaxy LEDA 1313424 (dubbed the 'Bullseye Galaxy') shows 9 or maybe 10 rings.
