Do people use it to do full assignments for them? I didn’t have ai in high school like some of the younger kids in school with me now so I don’t really trust it farther than using it to find some resources. I do the majority of my research still through the library catalog. Ai still isn’t great yet. - ThreadSky

Yes AI is very prevalent in all levels of education, it's doing assignments for students aged 6 to 26 and beyond

I have no idea, I graduated high school in the 2000s there weren’t even smartphones back then.

Technically ai is already integrated into social media, email, web searches, Siri and Alexa, e commerce platforms, fraud detection and financial institutions, autonomous vehicles, security systems, the medical healthcare systems, phone call systems, customer service support systems. Probably more.

Some of it is there on the program or website but like I just switch that feature off and not use it

No I definitely don’t trust autonomous vehicles, but I am a truck driver so I’ve driven more than a million miles and know cars and people don’t always behave. Siri I don’t use either, but sometimes hands free is necessary. I was just saying it’s already widespread in usage and not necessarily new.

Thing is with people, even if they are bad drivers they still have the basic want to live. I work in IT, computers are hardly infallible and all it takes is some random software crash and suddenly that 6000lb electric “car” Rams it’s way into traffic and pedestrians

Oh no I know, the auto breaking crash avoidance system in the trucks would accidentally get triggered by shadows all the time. So I stopped using the cruise control because I got tired of the truck randomly slamming on the breaks.
