Mayor Tom Morphet of Haines, Alaska, penned a letter this week to his counterparts in nearby Haines Junction, Yukon and Whitehorse on Wednesday. It says the Haines Borough wants to "reaffirm a relationship of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance" with those Yukon communities.
