The point of watching it again is to draw comparisons to what is currently happening, or to inform the ones that do not already know about this.

I think you might be assuming that most people don't know the history of censorship in Nazi Germany.

People on Bluesky are well aware of that history & smart enough to make the comparisons.

You want to help people learn some history. Good. But insisting they watch something is a turn off.

I just finished teaching a unit on the Weimar Republik with my AP kids, and this would have been great. We ended by looking at the hallmarks of fascism, days before the election, and it literally made me nauseous.
