I remember Atlus was open to the idea about utilizing it in the same way too and it was appalling to hear. People who said "well that's fine" don't realize people aren't just there to do the final touch ups. It's literally in the name "Concept Artist"...

UGH I swear it’s because all the investors are pushing it onto the companies and investors have too much power :/
And it’s like yeah!!! Concept artists are so important and it’s maddening that ppl are suddenly ignoring their contributions hhh

Back in the days companies were all about making quality games and talented artists were considered a key role and an actual investment.
Nowdays they act like AI can replace everything and they're fine with it because they are "saving money".

Unfortunately, companies have always been about making money. Quality product was important, ofc, but bosses have always resented needing to pay their workers. And there are plenty of stories of game devs to show that and not just from layoffs of the past few years. ><

Now I'm remembering that 10cents Monster Hunter mobile game that most likely uses AI in their production also.
They're feeding their IPs to the maggots and it's depressing
