- currently there are essentially 2 types of Kallum; TWST and original/canon versions
- TWST & canon Kallum look different esp currently since twst=17, canon=21. Obv twst version looks younger
- almost canned him entirely bc of lack of resources about Roma at the time
- Kolumbina exists now bc I wanted to try if I can do a βοΈ orβοΈchoose your protag type of thing and I absolutely love how the prototype designs are turning out so far
- if Kallum is picked, Carroll is the pair / if Kolumbina it's Carolle. I wanna drive the point either version is just homo lol
- ngl didn't know what to base him off of when I first made him, so randomly picked Bambi as a joke. Then I had to pick an ethnic inspo for him with Greek groups I put on an online spin the wheel, landed on Greek Roma
- took like 4 months to find out Romani are g*psy so I SCRAMMED FOR INFO
- a few things happened that made me almost scrap him bc I thought there's no way I can create his character properly at that time since, then fckn TWST GloriMas happened and remembered my fav Esmeralda existed after like 17 years at that point-
- after some tweaking and obv removing as much of the racist elements in both Disney and og Esmeralda I possibly could with info I suddenly got access to, instantly made Kallum's character visual and story design easier
- i still won't let go of the Bambi part tho so I thought why not both
- Kallum being half human + deer fae/faun have always been the plan before any of that so I HAD to make it work. Ended up making a really sad backstory about what happened to his family around the time he was born + he hates his faun dad over it even if he never actually met him
