I think it means sarcastic but only because I've seen people use /g or /gen to indicate "genuine/genuinely". Definitely not a perfect system though when a random /s out in the wild can mean anything from serious to sillybilly 🥴

I guess I'm a "snob" because I don't use shorthand if I can help it.
Too many chances to get it wrong or people not understanding. Emoji, or you know, just plain English (or whatever language I'm writing in) usually does the trick well enough.
