Celebration \o/
it's amazing to see how Iggie’s design evolved along with my skills
I made the jump to digital in late 2020
Started working on my DnD book in 2022 so 3 of these pieces are illustrations I drew for it
I thought it might be fun to compare how I handled night scenes throughout the years 🌙
2021- Hellfire Gala Dress
2022- Dropping into action
2023- On a date with Kate
2024- Casual streetwear
Love to show off art progress!
2024 <- 2023 <- 2022 <- 2021
2021, 2022, 2023, 2024!
But actually I've always drawed backgrounds, I just really love this art from 2021, hehe :3
Most likely, I should have put the other years here so that I could see the progress better ^^'
2013, 2014, 2015, 2016
It's been a RIDE ☁️👑✨
2019 > 2023 > 2024
I feel like my style spiked from 23 to this year. Can't wait to see what I do next year!
2021: was drawing on my phone with my fingers in some weird paint app
2022: started drawing on ibis on an android tablet
2023: started spending more time on my art, letting there be more details
2024: on an ipad now with procreate! tried a detailed background ✨
I draw my OCs less consistently than I'd like and actually struggled to do this (time to work on that!) but here's Dezi from 2021 to earlier this year (with a meme redraw wip)
here's my 2020 ~ 2024 art journey, overall fighting for my life to make my poses and expressions as dynamic and less stiff as possible 🙏
I'm super proud of my improvement overall, but I've really struggled a lot with my art this year T__T
2021 ➡️ 2022 ➡️ 2023 ➡️ 2024
Here are my artworks 2020 > 2021 > 2022 > 2023
I think my skill was rising up, but style doesn't change a lot
Cool idea for a share.
Here’s 4 years. My first ever digital art piece to a recent remaster I made this year. And others in the middle.
I started playing DnD around 2020 and almost did one character per year 😆 I wasn't taking art very seriously and I was doing them for myself. Also I realized I drew most characters in 2021...
Late 2020 > early 2021 > early 2023 > 2024 (current WIP)
2021 - 2022 - 2023 - 2024
here are my art from:
2021 VS 2022 VS 2023 VS 2024
I only started doing digital art in 2022 (which is also when I started doing more art) so first one is a traditional sketch! I tried to go for pieces that showcase my general style rather than my more experimental pieces.
(last piece's characters are from Arcane Arcade)
I'm Umbra, I'm a trans-masc furry artist that love space, shiny things and soft, cartoony and ethereal things. I'm most known for older Sonic stuff and recent Sly Cooper art but I wanted to share some works that never got the limelight as much.
2021 - 2024
this also serves as a pretty accurate representation of my gender and digital art journey LMAO it feels good to see it all laid out like that ⭐️✨

2021 - 2022 - 2023 - 2024
Anyway thank you!♥️
Art is a complicated journey, you can swing in multiple directions and just explore, have fun. I wish you more happy accidents and discoveries in your character development 🙏
2021-2022-2023-2024
I will say 2023 and on is when I felt more confident doing more bigger pieces and I love that piece from 2023 c:
I don't think I have a lot of progress but I do more nature-inspired art atm
I think over all, my compositions are a bit more interesting but I think there's a bigger difference to my pre-pandemic art than 2021
2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024
Here's 2021 vs 2024 because that's the earliest I have on my phone. 😅
I can say I've gotten better at painting but there's still loads of improvement left to do!
(the first one has a 2022 watermark but that's because I couldn't show it until I told my party he was a drow!)
No big Kismet illustration in 2024...yet
Here's my Shepard from Mass Effect trilogy through years
2021 → 2022 → 2023 → 2024
2021 - 2022 (VtM arrived to my life and so that vampire) - 2023 - 2024
2021, 2022, 2023, 2024
2021 - 2022 - 2023 - 2024
accidentally the few things I could find for 2021, 2022 & 2023 were my d&d characters lol
After years of not drawing and slowly starting again, I found a good art community in 2022 that kicked my ass into gear.
thank you so much for this!!! lineart went from my least favorite to my most favorite. i used to feel like i never captured the essence of my sketch with it :'D also isobel got even more tired looking somehow lmao
2019 | 2020 | 2023 | 2024
weeb teenager, i am totally not a weeb college student, then full blown reclaimed weeb adult
in order 2020-2024 😊
Started digital art in late 2020
Lines and silhouettes looks great! (:
I'm far from perfect, but such kind words are still pleasant :)
She's a Brujah (vampire) and I love her. The last pic has another hair bcs is 500 years later
Four years ago I was mostly painting dogs, and didn’t have a great grasp on lights and shadows in watercolor yet! I slowly improved. This year, I’ve gotten into more fine details!
the dates line up with when i got my ipad, so right when i tried taking digital art more seriously!
It's crazy to think about tbh, I still feel so new to digital art and yet here I am four-five years after I originally started
Here are my annual self portraits beginning in 2021 where my digital art journey really started (thanks D&D) to now 💖!
and sometimes i think my soul left me with the end of 2021 tbh 💀
these are from 21/22/23/24
2022: Year of characters! Very productive year! BeelzeBabes, animations, etc!
2023: More comic ideas! Limited time to work on art.
2024: Released a comic! Excited for the future!
Here are some examples from 2017 and 2022
2021, 22, 23, and 24!
always drawing my OCs !! really locked in on improving this year tho LOL ty for this <33
2020 - saving the fallen
2021 - frost vampire
2022 - escape
2023 - betta merman
2020 vs 2024
In 2020 I was going through a massive burnout, and I almost gave up on art as a whole! But it's interesting to see that I was already showing signs, I wanted to go into a more mixed-media and surreal field with my art <3
I used to love doing them digitally, thinking that was the only way to do them. 😆 Oh silly me!
(Using a Jowwi to show improvement...hopefully. Character is not mine)
[2021 - 2022 - 2023 - 2024]
#art #fanart #DETV #blue #raptor #cute
I'm just going to stick withb3 yearsbas I hadba urge burnout/artblock before that so..
Have 3 years of MerMay where I drew the same characters each year lol
I THINK these are the right order
2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024
2022 i was very artblocked and wasn't able to paint or draw much
I feel I've grown to understand rendering better and some neater brushes on clip!!! Im learning to be ok with sketches atm too
2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 ~
didn't draw much this year :')
During these 4 years, my tastes in drawing have not changed much!🥹🤍
2021-2024 🌙
I also do commissions: https://ko-fi.com/zer0kvlt
I think the most obvious change to my art is how I render water so here are 4 years of me drawing water swords!
2021. 2022. 2023. 2024
I just feel embarrassed to post my old works xD
It's gorgeous 😍
Thank you♥️
What is your process? How do you even begin?
I started in 2013 :D
I actually got my iPad and Procreate in 2021, so sort of a Procreate journey showing here!
I decided to focus more on the route of character designs since I was playing more TTRPGs!
And even then, I can tell SO much has changed, from showing more personality, to understanding proportions and making more daring fashion choices!
Also your shilouettes and shape language is on point
Your OCs are so fun and are dripping with personality too! (I had a little peek!)
I should probably reread up on character design philosophy sometime again. I was trying to help a friend through their OC design recently and I noticed a few blindspots
#touhou #udonge
Always feels like it's the underlying stuff that improves most so not sure it shows a great deal at this point, but here we are!
2021: He tried different hair dye, it didn't stick.
2022: He looses leg privileges and gains The Goop.
2023: I went to my first concert and gave him my shirt.
2024: He lost his colors and looks older.
I'm happy to hear you think that.
Seeing this is somehow so incredibly motivating to create anything.
I think the newest sketch of him is a bit wonky but over all I do like it. I'll have to redo it with less references I think.
The last sketch may be wonky, but still it shows so much understanding and care. Micah, you are truly an inspiration/motivation 👉👈
And thank you, Mika. That means a lot to hear.
I appreciate that a lot.
I want his hair in the first one ngl
You can have it, not like he needs it anymore.
It went from "no idea but make it cartoony" to "no idea but make it realistic", can't say I complain
I am very happy with how far my art has come in these couple of years.
Explosion :)
Yea :)
He is :)
2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024!
Approximately in backwards order from this year to 2021.

Took a moment but managed to find examples, there's been a small jump since last year
2021- 2022
2023- 2024

2024 > 2022 > 2019 > 2017”
in 4 years i didn't have a big leap in skill thanks to a huge burnout tgyhju but the characters i drew changed as i had to terminate my old webcomic early but i still wanted to kinda show the old characters passing the torch to the new ones in some kind of way
2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024
Here's 4 years of progress featuring none other than my main obsession, Kyara.
#art #artshare #oc
2021-2024
This year are just commissions and personal stuff 🖤
Aug '23 ➡️ Nov '23 ➡️ Feb '24 ➡️ June '24!
Lucky I've been working on this same darn book for almost a decade, makes for some continuity when looking back over the years! 😅
2021-2022-2023-2024
2021 vs 2022 vs 2023 vs 2024
My timeline is kinda messed up
I have had really long hiatus since 2015- end of 2020 (Blackhole hiatus lol)
and half hiatus again in the second half of 2022
starting again after a hiatus almost like all new begin though
(I also jump into 2 new drawing apps)
but guess some sense of art is still workable so I was getting familiar with tools again kinda fast.
the pieces in the bottom lines are another type I started developing after the latest break, but I still draw the type of oil coating type like the above line too.
Huge improvements, really love looking back at my older art and seeing the progress made.
2021 vs 2022 vs 2023 vs 2024
4 years of my OC Jupiter! (that OC in Symbolism is slightly outdated now, but I still love it!)
2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024
#OC, #art
2021-2022-2023-2024, Lily, Marianne, Inivra (my OC) and Alora
I love bringing OCs to life with unique accessories and special threads😊💟
[ #ocs #art ]
Thank you! :)
2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024
Choosing one piece for 22-23 was so hard because of the growth spurt and experimentation I have had 😭 so i chose pieces made within October each year
Let's go with 4 years of Halloween pics then
is there much of a progress here...? I don't know, I'm really bad at judging my own stuff '^^ and can't really see progress unless I'm looking at some really old pics, like 10 years old ones :P
but I guess posing is better...?
2021 - 2022 -2023 -2024
Like you had more and more confidence/ experience in your skills
Here’s a progression for my OC, Kris ✨💙❤️
tbh I've burned out harrrrd this year but I'm still glad of how far I've come that even love how my sketches turn out
These are all OCs except for the monster, Koshai from Dauntless
2021-2022-2023-2024
Glad I'm managing to improve it, thanks!
2021-2022-2023-2024
Second is I think August 2021
3rd is Feb 2023
And the last one is from yesterday
I hope it's not too spicy for this art share. I feel like it does show how far I've come
2020 , 2021 , 2022 , 2023 💜
4 long, long years...
i personally think i've improved a little bit.
