Why don’t they see that if they do things our way everyone wins? They’ve lost so much more than the tax they could pay to make us happy. Let’s open the tent to them.
The US was a much better country when the marginal tax rate was 90%, money wasn't considered speech, and there were caps on political campaign contributions.
The irony is a healthy, happy and educated population would be even more productive making them more money. Their way of achieving increased production is eugenics. Our way is taxing billionaires who made their fortunes thanks to the opportunities provided to them by the people of the United States.
People of the world. Lots of those billions have come from a lot of other countries than just the US and equally the billionaire problem isn't just a US centric one.
Would not surprise me. Let's face it western nations celebrate victory over China in the Opium Wars - the movie 55 Days at Peking - but the reality was that the Chinese were trying to stamp out Opium use whilst the British and French wanted to use the trade to finance their empires. 😬
