It just shows you have your own opinion and is out of the norm, which sometimes is a good thing. For me, live music is good, especially if a band adds extra sections for the audience to join in with. However, it really sucks if you hear singers use autotune or lip sync.
True, and I agree. But there are some rare times when the sound, energy, and performance are good. If you happen to catch that, it’s a magical feeling to be in the audience (with good quality earplugs).
For most people, that's how it is. I'm just wired differently. I get nothing out of it. I'm not trying to yuck anyone's yum, I'm just marinating on the irony of my tastes and my profession.
I know what you mean. On the other hand not much in life beats the feeling you get at a really good gig! I think that's often more to do with the energy and emotion flowing between artist and audience than necessarily the technical quality of the music.
I respect that for the majority of concertgoers, it's not even about the music, it's about the shared experience. It's like a type of tribal bonding ritual. I totally get it and support it. However, I don't feel that. At all. I get absolutely nothing from it. It's just loud and claustrophobic.
