We had a demo and march to building that housed the FBI ... of over 400 people to demand his freedom.The " Seattle Anarchist Marching Band" & others wanted to go to Starbucks to smash windows and started criticizing us for that and not taking the streets.

Vernon Bellecourt who was a close political associate of mine in the 80's (came to many demos we had in Madison, around the anti-aparthied struggles for years, El Salvador solidarity work and other events. He was good man. We had over 500 people in 2650 Humanities raised $2000.

Sadly in the 80's, the Big Mountain/Leonard Peltier tour was a good start to try to win his release but the tankies in Workers World Party tried to with hold funds for those struggles and the indigenous organizations had difference of opinion on how to settle it.
