Ooof 🥲. The clinic that I was diagnosed at said I was their first confirmed case (which I live in a small area so I can see that 😅😂), but I've heard that some places don't test for it since it's 'too rare'.

Heck, I'm in Los Angeles and the last vascular surgeon I talked to said they only get sent one of us a year (and they personally are not qualified to treat it LOL.) But I got diagnosed by accident in 2019 during an ER visit for something else. If not for that I probably would have never been tested.

Oh geez!, mine was also started with an ER visit (pretty sure now it was because of some sort of stomach bug that caused the MALS symptoms to worsen 😅) and had a long string of tests and appointments to finally get diagnosed. Then after had correction surgery a week after.
