Schumer did the right thing and there were only two bad choices. The only thing that should matter to democrats is taking the House back in 19 months. Shutting down the government and hurting the American people during tax refund time would have hurt our prospects to prevail in the midterms.

We will be right back here in September. It is wonderful that SpE. Pelosi and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez are in agreement – at least for this weekend. Perhaps she/she/they could convince just six (6) GOPers in the House to vote for a Democratic alternative and send that CR over to the Senate on 9/28/2025?
