I'd pick teenagers over young children any day of the week

Sure the challenges are different, and for some weird reason they only want to talk to you after 10pm, but it is *definitely* a more manageable difficult

The first 18 months of my son's life was an absolute hell that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. He's 4 now, and I can confirm that it's much better. Lots of Legos, Hot Wheels, and Mario. Plus, he already likes metal, so I feel like I'm winning.

It is fun at times. But also demanding. But you always do what he needs or likes.

As a father of 9 yr old twins I can confirm it gets better. It can be super chaotic in the early years but it definitely gets more stable.
