I rescued them abandoned in horrible conditions, they were in dire straits. I don't know how people expect chickens to live in such a squaller π no dry place to live, w foot sores, leg mites, feather mites etc. 1 died π’ I usually don't adopt roosters but Rufus π had to be saved too π₯Home now π β€οΈ
Thatβs great you rescued them. My hens were part of a flock of 25+ that was dumped behind my house in a green belt. The coyotes ate most of them, when there were only nine left they moved up into the neighborhood and people started mistreating them. I stepped up built a coop and trapped them.
They are so wild I let them run free in the backyard and at night they go into the coop. Itβs been almost two years and even though they can fly they have never wanted to leave, they know theyβre safe. ππ
