Misplaced regional pride will be the death of us all. A Palatinian is a Palatinian. Not sure what the Cumbrians are doing in here though

This is interesting, though I wonder if regional identity is sometimes at slight tension with sub-regional identities, especially relating to towns and cities. People in the NW might not identify with the region but identify with Liverpool and Manchester!
