I’m hoping my neighbors don’t join in the military attack on us from Trump that is coming. I appreciate your service. My MARSOC neighbor was killed in Iraq. He was an incredible person.
As a USMC ‘Nam vet with PTSD, let me tell you it is a life long problem. The best comment that I heard when I was in counseling is “We can’t cure it, but we can help you live with it!” That is so true, but it takes time and effort to get there and a great support group/family!
If they actually started caring about veterans they’d never be able to say “as long as one homeless vet exists, we shouldn’t do x…”
They manufacture an economy where veterans end up homeless, don’t bother helping them, then use them as an excuse to not help anyone else. Sad that people fall for it.

I know how much PTSD has affected me. And I’m a mild case. I can’t imagine what it’s like to have lived through Vietnam.
I expect Ukraine will have a whole generation that knows something similar though…
