Technically the information was out in the open since like 2018 or 2019, but since someone else was the focus (and was the outspoken nazi and not just part of 1 conversation in the screenshots), it didnt really get peoples attention about karl until then.

For me, most of this video talked about things that were largely irrelevant and useless. The biggest thing was him defending using the N word, and he defended that in the nazi discord he was in. He purposefully separated these in the video as if they're not related or relevant to each other

He has been extremely defensive about, quite honestly, valid criticism against him. He stuck by and defended his argument in that server until the tomatoanus thing happened. It came off extremely disingenuous. I understand why others would accept it tho. But he also makes trash content

I see, that is a good point. He mentions in the video that he regrets this viewpoint and has since changed perspective, and also apologizes for having had this viewpoint, and acknowledges it was insensitive.
He also does mention that it was in one of the leaked screenshots addressed earlier, I think

I do appreciate the videos he made on the WATA grading pyramid scheme; that was actual journalism done on a relevant issue, the details of which were relatively unknown. outside of that though yeah, his content is kind of a lot of junk, and the dude himself has a questionable history.

The way he talks about the stuff he covers annoys me and the sponsors come across as if he "genuinely" likes them, despite them usually being the worst things.

I am curious how the Billy Mitchell lawsuit will end, but the rest is unnecessary drama.

One problem is also that many people who are not really speedrunning or just interested in watching speedruns consume his content. And when a lot of newer speedrunners are exposed to this content, they get the wrong picture. I had so many beginners asking me about cheaters in the games i run/mod.

Karl didn't do plagerism here in the same way as Storster didnt. His claim is based on what an extreme standard that literally no one outside of academics uses. His claims are at best a petty annoyance
