chiefly: conductors have a lot of waste as heat which is bad, but superconductors don't! the problem is that superconductors (so far) have not been stable at room temp or scalable, aka we can't appreciate this benefit wide scale. this could be a fucking HUGE scientific innovation if it pans out.
