i don't think "there's no nazis" makes a space an echo chamber. i think there is probably a broad spectrum of human opinion about a wide variety of topics even if you exclude "what kinds of people are unhumans". if this is not obvious to you then i do not know how to help you - ThreadSky

It gets solved rather easily by making sure it's "tolerance of these accepting the social contract", not tolerance of.. everything

You could have a space with just communists and you'd still have more opinions on a given topic than users, and they'd fight over it. People only form their echo chamber when there's truly outrageous discourse going on right outside

yeah i see a variety of opinions from a lot of different ideologies every day, even ones i disagree with. i just don't want to be harrassed, called slurs, or told to die for who i am. if that counts as an echo chamber, then i'll take an echo chamber over a nazi safe space.

Damn, well that sucks.. for them. Personally I’m indifferent on it, I usually stick to my mutuals but browse the discover feed when bored or outright curious what’s new and interesting. Thanks though, seems I found intriguing something tonight 😉👌
