Twins declined their $6.25 million option on Kyle Farmer, paying the 34-year-old utility infielder a $250,000 buyout.

Farmer hit .240/.308/.387 for a 91 OPS+ in 227 games over two seasons with the Twins after coming over in a trade from the Reds.
