🤷 Probably, exploration is influenced by experience and surroundings. But I don't think I've seen a cohort (or meta analysis) looking at that. If you find something, please share.

This may complicate your question. I'm GenX but since lockdown have begun playing versions of traditional tabletop board games online through sites like BGA and Tabletop Simulator. In-person play is better, but if my family cannot meet up in person, we play online, while chatting on speaker.

There's such an abundance of tabletop gaming options available online that has enhanced/extended our opportunities to play versions of traditional games together both online and offline. Online can be more rules-bound - harder or impossible to bend/change rules to meet play needs of the group.

Yes, online communities have really helped. Especially during lockdown.

However I was thinking more of the promotion of isolation I have noticed in newer generations
