I’m grateful that kids still get to enjoy the thrill of the snow day. I was concerned that Covid would convince schools that snow days should just be remote school days. THAT would be injustice.

my childhood in michigan consisted almost entirely of friday night snowstorms that were cleared away in time for schools to open monday morning.

My kids get sent home from school the day before with a chromebook, and I get to spend what should be a snow day for them bouncing back and forth between the two, troubleshooting IT issues, making sure they're in the right Teams rooms, and also trying to do my every day work. It's bullshit.
