How this one worked out: Pup has lived his life on a chain in a yard. Owner finally surrenders him to shelter last month before deep freeze. Shelter is full, so euthanasia date is set. Owner's sister doesn't want this to happen, so she runs in and takes the dog back out of the shelter.
Sis is young and not super aware of what she’s getting into. So now she wants to re-home dog.
Shelter is still full and tells her they will euthanize him upon surrender. So sister contacts a small local rescue in hopes of keeping him out of shelter. Local rescue contacted ABTCR because they're full.
So! Getting a couple tests run at the vet to make sure he is safe to bring around our other critters, then we’ll bring him home with us until we can find permanent adopters.
