My tips of working with pastels are first to get really good paper like Clairefontaine Pastelmat or the new Canson Velvet. They are a game changer in my opinion. And second just to practice as much as possible. Best of luck with your work!

After watching far too many dinosaur documentaries, I can’t see a chicken without visualizing it as a 30-foot tall theropod with 7” long teeth and crushing talons that tastes just like chicken.
