The person pushing this is another transplant from South Africa, like Musk. Given her age when her family immigrated, it's not hard to imagine them as fleeing the end of Apartheid. Note this is not to disparage anyone from SA on principle. It's just a certain kind of person fled for that reason.

We're at the stage where parents and guardians can't assume their children will learn some very important information while they're still in school. Restrictions on some college discussions only makes it worse. Our worldwide education ratings are about to fall off a cliff for no reason.

In order to win the next election, best NOT to trash all the people in Texas. But make sure YOUR school districts have textbooks that cover FACTS about American history -- like polio, Reconstruction, civil rights, suffrage, etc. Look at where the book is published. Look up a few words.
