My first husband ( back in the 70s) thought being vegan made a person more spiritual. It also bolloxes your older bones if you do it badly and under pressure. Poor little kid didn't have a chance.

I know quite a few vegans (some with vegan children), and they all work hard to make sure their diet is healthy and balanced.

I would still suggest that young women make sure their bmi doesn't go below 21, and that they get calcium tested regularly /take supplements. Appreciate vegan diets have improved since the 70s but they really don't suit everyone, and religiosity about it helps no one.

Yes health and planetary benefits for some but not all. When folks say "everyone should be vegan" it pisses me off. I don't eat meat but am not holy towards people who do.
