I made one years ago I call Dancer. It's supposed to represent an old bff of mine where she was a dancer (and dance teacher at one point). It also represents how I feel about my own dance moves, and my guilt of quitting dancing and cutting my friendship ties with my bff.
I’ve been watching a playthrough of silent hill 2 and reading about how much konami doesn’t seem to understand the personal nature of the games makes me sad.
A Silent Hill-inspired design: I didn't draw it (I'm a writer) but here's a creature concept in a distant future comic of mine.
Baby noises come out from the stomach, and the creature uses the umbilical cord to drag prey into it.
And yes, it's related to my character. lol

We're both very good friends and LOVE Silent Hill. We hope to eventually create this comic of ours together, as soon as I get more free time outside of my main project (The Wretched) to write more of the story. :3
thanks! this was actually a test drawing for what became a weird sculpture. I used real vintage hospital marble tiles, reclaimed from the demolition of Doctor's Hospital on collage st back in the early 2000s
Wait, I don't know what that means! How do you describe that to kids who are way too young to see or play silent hill? My 6 year old drew cenobites from my cartoon versions. I'd love to see what her mind decides silent hill should look like!
The Suffering 1 and 2 had an interesting approach for their monster designs because each are manifestations of torture methods or causes of death (for the most part). The bestiary docs of both games are a delight to read or listen to.
Literally just finished watching a playthrough of the SH2 remake, extremely tempted but also terrified to discover what lies in the depths of my subconscious. Maybe in my restless dreams I'll see those creatures...
Not an artist if you can't tell, but I like the idea of a warped and jawlike gladiator helmet hiding a monster's face and made this. They would probably represent toxic masculinity and/or a death drive... Very fun and might commission something like this at some point if I can 🥳
Ooh. I can't decide if I think it's cooler if it starts out as a normal guy and then flares open at you like a cobra, or if it stays open all the time and just wetly, noisily wobbles toward you through the dark
I WOULD but Ive always thought my personal silent hill would be… truly silent. No monsters. No birds. No wind. Not even bugs. I would just be completely and utterly alone. 😖
Small, rounded carbuncles that cluster on the floors, walls, and ceilings, looking like sieves packed with meat. When disturbed, they cry out as though in painful labor, push out some meat goop, which forms itself into a crawling arm, hopping leg, or half-head scooting by jaw.
Loving the thought of this thing in a cluttered, dim thrift store, blending among the lamps and coat stands until its head snaps open and it starts coming for you.

Right after commissions and "d&d pics to give your players emotional damage" on the priority scale.
