That’s a really good question…and maybe it depends on why people are leaving cable-is it their content or format? If their coverage was less repetitive and more in-depth like Meidas would that help?

For myself it was scheduling. Cable news demanded that you be there, on their schedule in order to watch. I need the flexibility to watch content on my schedule. And sometimes to have the ability to go back and rewatch and even share that content with someone else and not just relay it second hand.

IMO if he does buy it and remove it as another avenue for left wing/progressive news it just opens up a chance for people to move to platforms like MTN - I think right wing take overs of legacy news might not be the problem that musk hopes he’s causing 🤔

The FCC doesn’t regulate cable like it does broadcast…I think that’s part of the reason for separating NBC & MSNBC. Trump could punish NBC for something MSNBC says.
