It’s a good pairing of cheery music and critiques of where we were as a society in regards to addiction, racism, sexism, desensitization from sensationalist media, etc.

for my first time listening to eric clapton, i’m far from disappointed. for some strange reason, his voice reminds me of nina simone and i love the way it pairs with the tracks.

It's the blues he carries with him, he's an artist with plenty skills and influences and genres.

Clapton in the 70s, 80s and 90s sounds like a different artist every decade.

oh my, i didn’t even think about that! i was hoping it wouldn’t be too much of a problem, but looking into it, it seems to be pretty significant.

would isolation pads be sufficient? i don’t really have any other places/surfaces to put them on

Any kind of pad would help (mouse pads work!) and it really depends on the kind of music/volume you like. Eventually getting some speaker stands would be optimal, but don’t let it bum you out. Everyone is always tweaking their setup for the space they have, it’s part of the fun. Enjoy!
