Brilliantly said. Lynch was a master of revealing the sacred in the profane—he showed us that the true saint is the one who dares to confront the darkness, not hide behind it. In a world of false purity, he was unafraid to expose the messy, chaotic beauty of the human experience.
I would say that David Lynch was more transgressive than most of those transgressors who do nothing but support the hegemony. Transgression isn't in opposition to sainthood.
Man, this is a weird site. It's startling to see your name pop up, given that I was one of the first buyers of fRiNgE. I'm pretty sure you signed my copy of issue #1 along with Paul. I only got Paul's signature on the rest when they came out. But yes, RIP David Lynch.
