I love the fact that Discord has become such a ‘thing’, but have so much trouble using it just bc of interface/infinite scroll layout: soon as a zone gets active, it feels unusable just bc so much noise/so parsing or organization. Am I alone in this? - ThreadSky

Yes long hated discord, too messy. Has been helpful when searching for software help, whether past posts or (if active) direct responses.

aghh totally - i have the EXACT same experience ha. Part of me is playing with idea of a discourse-built forum for our weirdo tribe? feel like would be hard to get critical mass is only thing ha https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discourse_(software)

honestly i think that’s an awesome idea, but i hear you on critical mass. i feel like there’s a mismatch between how forums/social media/chat rooms want to work and how my brain actually wants to engage w content/people/ideas, but like idk what the solution is/could be

yes! cosign all counts/it does feel like forums are the way. Feel like i dont have much bandwidth for it, but parts of me wants to resseruct hoops. net as a forum hang zone lol

I try to turn all notifications off but don't always succeed so end up with a random set of text on my phone from discords I forgot I was subscribed to, that I leave there for a while since no time to look and see if I'm interested,lol, sigh
