Honestly I think it was the voter suppression that really got us this last time. Harris would have won if not for the 3.5 million missing voters from purple states. Still very sad that Trump got even a million votes.
No. Unfortunately it would be very stupid to run women again so soon. I say this as someone who voted in my first ever Presidential Primary for Hillary Clinton. I want it so bad. But no. Not yet.
That fucker just test launched an ICBM off the coast of California this morning…while the nuclear group he fired hasn’t been completely rehired. My money is on the wigger killing us.
They still test nukes at the Marshall Islands? I didn't know that. FFS, they already did enough damage to Bikini Atoll, they can't just leave that area alone by now?
He said there would be no more elections. I think we need to stop being shocked by what he says. And remember that he’s already told us what he’s going to do. Narcissists are really good at projection. They always tell you what they’re going to do. Enough being shocked. It’s time for this to stop.
Europeans create new parties out of nothing regularly. They shift the political climate. Some are simply 'one issue' parties, that fight for limited causes and still help people that way.
But you could of course try nothing, and give up, and let literally evil people do whatever they want to you.
Maybe not, but at this point there appears to be little upside in supporting many other dems. The minority leader can’t even bring himself to suggest Adams resign. Harris and her VP were 2 of the only centrists I found tolerable (in an election where I couldn’t be a single-issue voter on GENOCIDE).
I felt like we lost the plot when people were excoriating those who dared to complain about genocide when Trump ran. Vichy dems created and maintain the conditions that allowed Trump and fascism to succeed. They are showing they aren’t the answer.
If a convicted Felon gets elected over an eminently qualified woman of color who not only has a lifetime of public service and expertise, but who runs an exceptional campaign, what else can you attribute Trump’s win to? His hair? Yes, the decks were stacked against her - ask yourself why.
I really want to live in a country that doesn't judge a politician so quickly and dismissively on their appearance, but the reality is, we can't risk more entrenching corruption on the hope that we are better.
Unless anybody gets serious about investigating the very strange statistical anomalies that came out of the 2024 election, I don't see Democrats running another woman for President for at least another generation, unfortunately.
I honestly believe had it been Gavin Newsome, we might have had a totally different outcome. The US is nothing like European or Latin American countries. We're just not ready for a female POTUS.
Partly sexism, but right-wing media has made "Democrat" a dirty word. Dem-aligned policies pass easily via referendum in areas Dem candidates can't get elected. And right-wing control over the media (traditional and social) is a huge problem that will take a lot to even meet.
Nonsense. Blaming it on sexism is just avoiding having to engage in self-reflection. Better to blame the loss on character flaws of the voters than a problem with the party. And nobody thought Newsome would be a good candidate.
I'm sorry, but there's two Americas: who we think we are and who we actually are. If people wouldn't get behind a qualified white woman to beat Trump, why the hell would they back a an equally qualified biracial one?
Illegal aliens, fentanyl, lack of job creation, she left her district behind and in shambles, she hasn’t had any bills pass, she’s a mouth piece and offers nothing but words. She has no action behind her words. She’s all theater and no action.
No. AOC put a target on Pelosi the day she entered congress with Pete Thiel's techy as her Chief of Staff. Staged the GND stunt at her office, activists & camera ready as AOC made her PR debut, clout chasing on Pelosi's position. Thiels techy, Sakait Chakrabarti left the COS gig after the PR stunt
No, Pelosi and all the dinosaur in congress need that target on them. They need to go. We don't need people in their 80s running this country. FFS there was a congress person in a fucking nursing home memory ward.

This country is so sexist, it's unnerving.
I'm afraid I won't see it in my life.
I want Pete Buttigieg on the ticket.
The United States loves its racism

There are plenty of things to get mad about; I’m not sure this is one of them.
It was the first test of the year.
The U.S. tests 3 launches a year, going back forever. THIS IS NOT A BIG DEAL
Stop him 😡

This is how I see it, as well. We stop them or our goose is cooked. The thing is, we don't have much time. It may already be too late.
Get old man Sanders on board. Some other smart people.
Then the democrats can choose: work with the new peoples party, or let fascists finally destroy the US.
He got such a bump from running for president even.
He was never interested in doing anything but being an opposition voice. Hitch your hopes to a different mule.
The idea of the party is the main point. Not one old man, or any particular woman.
You people raise hundreds of millions every election. Dont tell me it cant be done. Since when are Americans so weak? (yes, i am provoking you)
But we can calculate money. The average US citizen has less capital and the rich has much more money at their disposal to gain unfathomable influence.
But you could of course try nothing, and give up, and let literally evil people do whatever they want to you.
MAGA will flat out say it. Dems are still refusing to acknowledge that ALOT of Dems won’t vote for a woman.
Pretty sure the guy who earlier today referred to himself as the king in 3rd person, has zero intention of giving up the position.
"It's not illegal if it's best for the country."

Jasmine Crockett, a Civil Rights Atty entered the Texas Legislature where she dealt with the worst of the bigoted, racist RW.
She knows them well.
Mentored by Bernice Eddy Johnson in her Dallas district, Crockett learned the power of truth & fire
