I know no one wants to do this, but please wear an N95 in planes, trains, buses, & airports/stations this holiday. You don’t want to pick up illness on the way to vacation or to grandma. These masks work. I have not had a virus of any kind in over a year & I have been on many planes & trains. 😘 - ThreadSky

The kind of mask you wear matters. KN95s & baggy blues are not as protective. You can feel the air going in and out of them on the sides vs N95 that stops that entirely. I wear the 3M Aura & find it much more comfortable than masks with ear straps. Does mess with the hair a bit!

I consider masking on public transportation to be a way not only to protect yourself, but also a way to live an ethical life—by not exposing others to your germs. There may be an elder or an immune compromised person sitting beside you. They need you to care about them so they can travel too.

I agree. My husband recently had a bone marrow transplant and we saw our doctors last week who told us about a large uptick in respiratory infections.

This is affecting those with healthy immune systems as well. We certainly don't want to risk bringing it home to those who are immune-comprised.
