It's not a privilege most have. Not everyone can up and leave discord. But if we all vocalize why this AI decision is bad, stop giving them money and stop using discord as much as we can allow (artists/creatives/streamers aside because they can't sabotage their livelihoods).

Then maybe they roll it back or at least make it an opt in feature. If we sit on our hands and do nothing then we will get more AI features that harm creatives of all kinds. If we can't make Discord see reason then we take our business elsewhere. We're all used to platform hopping at this point.

If you only use discord for friends, voice chat, screen sharing then I encourage you to find a new platform to use with friends. I'm going to. If you have the privilege of money, a large audience or both then I encourage you to use that privilege to boycott Discord.

I'm very heated about this because I'm tired of seeing folks say "Don't use it", "It's not that big of a deal", "there are more important things to worry about". And yeah there are more important things to fight but this is so fucking easy to fight. Cancel subs, make posts about it, find new place.

I've said my bit. Whether y'all agree or not is fine it's your choice. I can fight against this with the privileges I have at my disposal, cancelling subs and vocalizing online. I just hope my posts have sparked anyone who reads them to at least look into the issue and decide what's best for them.
