Im not sure if it's because my native tongue has no grammatical gender but it's so hard for me to accept that "they" has become a gendered pronoun in itself in queer spaces.

"I met my new doctor today they were really cool"

I'm not gendering nor misgendering my doctor here. I'm just not stating it
