This was unintentional, but it works as a great companion to Prime Meridian, which I read earlier this year.

There was a part of me that was a little sad that the book couldn't just stay in the set-up phase, but unfortunately books kind of don't work that way. It was really good anyway, but I especially liked the sitting around talking about old movies bit.
