Greed is why this feature isn't more widespread. Publishers simply don't want to give up potential sales on other platforms by giving consumers access to multiple licenses.

It's going to take Xbox completely revising their licensing agreements to make it more enticing for publishers to support it

Persona 3 is PA. It’s a godsend. Playing it in bed or on the go and then seamlessly on my Xbox for one price is wild. Such a massive feature.

Hey love the Play Anywhere talk! Since this spreadsheet went live, we’ve noticed some games move to the Xbox app and even this new store tab on console.
It’s still not as extensive as the spreadsheet, I counted 700ish games but it’s a cool start!

Its an amazing feature but the marketing has been confusing as hell. Its hard to sometimes figure out if a title is truly play anywhere. Like, I don’t even know if Stalker is play anywhere. I think it is? But it’s not clear because there’s confusingly a “windows” version and “console” version? What?

It’s THE feature now.. more so than gamepass id argue. For this new device agnosticism to fully work, play anywhere has to be fully adopted.

Honestly the best feature when I got my PC handheld. Having the ability to play on my Series X and then continue where I left off on my Legion Go was a very “damn that’s cool” moment.

it is really annoying that the only time they ever release a game on the PC Xbox store at all is if it is on Gamepass. Something has to change so they release on there regardless.

I have a Series S and X, and I just bought a Rog Ally X and have GamePass Ultimate. Right now, there are just enough games available for both platforms for me to be able to play anywhere, but this should become standard!

Monster Hunter Rise had XPA, so I’m worried Sony is paying to keep XPA from Wilds. Would be sad.

Also, ALL 3rd party games shown during the recent dev showcase that are releasing in 2025 feature XPA, so hopefully a sign of a bright future.
