Because, imo, they have completely given up on harvesting platform fees as their primary form of revenue. Now the consoles are just a way to distribute their products and push game pass. I wouldn’t be shocked if people think of Xbox as primarily a cloud based company in 10 years.

Looks like they're aiming for self-destruction. They're slowly phasing out hardware to not completely disrupt their current install base, but gradually making people lose interest in the console bit by bit, while shifting to third-party publishing and focusing on cloud and services.

Halo, Gears, Forza Motorsport/Horizon, Fable, should be a straight-up no.

Honestly, Indiana is one of those games that coupled with Avowed and Perfect Dark would have finally made me get a Series X. I no longer see the point, I will just wait for them to get to PS5.
