Curta Calculator. The only option for a mechanical pocket-sized calculator until Texas Insturments put them out of business in the 1970's.
Designed by Curt Herzstark while in a WW2 concentration camp. Germans kept him alive to finish it - it saved his life. Crazy story

Those are very cool devices but I couldn’t justify the cost of a genuine one… or take the risk of starting another ‘collection’.
