I recommend Australia. I moved here a few years back and I'm settled now. Tech industry is slower here and you make less money but they would kill for someone with your experience and probably you could negotiate a great relocation package & visa (depending on the gig).
Imo American tech workers are in a good place for working visas, but the reality is the American dollar & economy right now is roaring and nowhere else is. American techies will take a massive paycut when they leave on average. Just my 2c more for any person who stumbled upon this.
Correct. You're damned if you leave now, damned if you don't. Either you roll the dice and wait with the downside that the dollar becomes worthless during a GTFO event or you go early but the economy stays strong bc chaos breeds war which is good for the war industry and now you're a bit more poor.
Essentially, absolutely no way the most poor and vulnerable are getting out short of asylum and unfortunately their lives would become unbearable before that point. Thankfully techies have choices, but their choices will dwindle as time moves on and countries adopt trump anti immigration policies.
