Someone just went off at me about Afghanistan, justly, but so hard I had to block them. Anyway just for clarity I’m not valorizing that war in any way. I’m pointing out similar behaviors between the Taliban and this very group who have taken over and are part of why we ended up in that war at all

I personally was against both wars back then too. I don’t like violent retaliation. Almost always does more harm than good. As we see.

And now I just need to get off my chest that I so wish that person hadn’t hadn’t exploded
because I agreed with her so completely, that it was in fact the FUBAR of those wars that got me into this. To me they both seemed like bs retaliation for the Gulf that left nothing but war crime and wreckage
