The most important lesson I’ve learned is that it cannot be my responsibility to protect the feelings of those who choose harm. If I forgive, it will be because I simply don’t care anymore. But making you feel better about your actions, that’s not my work to do. It’s yours.

Since a divorce 30 years ago, my mantra has been - I don't need to forgive or forget, I just need to move on. (Just don't care anymore)
