There are way too many glaring holes or reasons for concern with the 49ers for content creators to only be focusing on firing Shanahan or the fact that Purdy doesn’t have full audible control.

Now I will say that Shanahan’s offense seems stale and predictable compared to other years and he needs to do a better job at getting the players motivated but let’s stop the firing discussion bc unless Andy Reid decides to leave KC, I can’t imagine a better option at this point
Special teams is obviously atrocious, the DL can’t generate any pressure and have difficulty getting key stops on 3rd and 4th down, the OL also struggle, and WRs have less than ideal separation numbers. Let’s stop lumping everything into 1 or 2 baskets.
I also feel like Purdy isn’t having as good of a year at last year, but that seems to be the case with everyone on offense not named Kittle or Jennings. Purdy also being on pace for only like 22-24 touchdowns makes $60m seem steep. I think in this day in age $60m QBs should be throwing at least 30TD
That said, there’s still plenty of season left and I believe that Purdy is the man to lead the ship this year and going forward. He and everyone else just needs to improve going forward if they have any hope of being a contender.
