And finally, this boycott is 7 days long. If you can go 7 days without Amazon, chances are *you don’t really need Amazon.* After the 7 days, evaluate how you did, what substitutes you found, what things you don’t really need. And see if you can keep it going.

My hope is that a lot of us will realize how little we actually *need* Amazon and will keep this going after the week is done. So it's not just a symbolic act, but has a lasting impact. So jumping in after vacation is totally in line with that - you basically get a head start!

hell yes, keep it going! also just to say, yesterday's action doesn't necessarily have to be in our rearview. I think it was a good first step and first day in figuring out both individual and community-based strategies to shift away from consumerism!

Really, really good point. I'm definitely reevaluating some things that I didn't miss (and even was better off avoiding) yesterday to change my habits going forward.
