I experienced this last week. I lost my job 7 weeks ago at 64. Pushed into early retirement. Logged in to get ready for going live by early summer and for HOURS every page led you to a “website is down right now” message. Still have no idea if I’ll get approved….

I don't doubt Musk & the incompetent Trump could be messing with it but I noticed today, it doesn't allow logins anymore that are just a login and password and email validation code, you must have either a https://login.gov or https://id.me account. https://Login.gov will all login with lan line but https://id.me requires

a cell phone which means you have a gov't contractor who has your data security points, https://login.gov is a gov't not contractor & wasn't difficult to setup. Once you login, download a pdf of your history of annual incomes per year for proof if Musk or Trump screws up the site.

Haven’t been able to sign in for a few weeks. I get two different error messages on two different browsers, even after clearing cache, cookies, etc., and restarting. Outrageous.

So, DOGE caused the social security website to crash, thus people cannot check on their information. Imagine how Elon Musk would feel if all of the banks' sites, he has moneys in, crashed and he could not have any access to all of his mega-billions of dollars.
